raising Awareness

See about it, talk about it. In today’s modern time we struggle with being compassionate for others’ situations as we are so worried about our own struggles as inflation rises, families are spending more and earning less just to keep their world afloat, and other luxuries become unreachable. There are many ways to help your cause without neglecting your own priorities. Here’s how:

  1. Knowing the signs.

If someone you know is having transportation and attendance problems at school, are lacking a continuity in education, or may have poor health and nutrition, they may be going through a hard time in their life. These things are very easily masked. Some may go about their day like everything is fine, but in reality, they may be struggling to even have a place to go to at the end of the day. This is where you have to learn to read these signs, and furthermore, learn how to help or advocate for this person with respect.

2. Reach Out.

A life hardship may cause someone to emotionally spiral and become vulnerable when asked about the specifics of what they need help with - we all understand this very well. When we are in need of help it seems like that is when we ask for it the least. Surely, all things are possible with God, but closed mouths also do not get fed. Reach out and be a kind and friendly place for someone to talk to. Isolation is the last thing you would want someone to do.

3. Become an advocate.

Help others understand the importance of awareness. Join us in our initiative and become a volunteer with The Way Foundation, a non-profit organization in Las Vegas NV looking to support youth and all people alike who may be in need of counseling, resources, and/or financial help.
